My name is Veronique Juvin and I created SciArtWork at the beginning of 2016.
During my PhD training, I studied the pharmacological characteristics of the TRPV2 calcium channel and its functional roles in human immune cells. Then I joined the BI and worked on the Class1 PI3 kinase pathway and its role in breast cancer. Using isogenic human breast epithelial cell lines (MCF10a) I studied the influence of mutations frequently found in tumours (PTEN deletion, PIK3CA H1047R and E545K) on cell migration and transcriptome modulation.
Over the years, I have used numerous cutting-edge techniques of molecular biology (transcriptomic analysis using NGS technology, generation of MCF10a Knock-Out cell lines using CRISPR system), imaging (confocal microscopy and live cell imaging for calcium or PIP3/PIP2 visualisation), cell biology (chemokinesis and transwell migration assays, 3D acinar culture in matrigel and tumour formation in soft agar gel, siRNA transfection, lentivirus production and transduction), biochemistry (western-blot combined with InfraRed fluorescent detection, lipid extraction).
